The Entrance Examination for admission to the various programs of study is generally held at Kendriya Vidyalayas spread across India in the third week of May every year. The examination consists of One question paper of three hours duration set for each programme of study or each set of programs of study. The Entrance Examination is held for four days with two three-hour sessions on each day. The weightage of marks is 70% and 30% for the Written Examination and the Viva Voce (wherever prescribed) respectively.
