IAS i.e Indian Administrative Service is the premier service in India and offers an attractive and challenging career and as an IAS officer you get exposure in very diverse roles like the collector, commissioner, head of public sector units, chief secretary, cabinet secretary etc.
Now , coming to how you can become an IAS officer, I would like to tell you that to become an IAS officer
, you need to appear in and clear one of the toughest examination called UPSC, which has 3 stages which are listed below :-
- The first stage of the exam is Preliminary examination (objective )
- The second stage, Mains (written).
- If you manage to clear both prelims and mains then you are to go through interview/personality test .
And if you managed to clear all the three rounds mentioned above, then congratulations to you , fulfil all your dreams and can become an IAS officer
But yes, becoming an IAS officer is not that easy as it sounds due to the competition involved, but also not impossible for you if you prepare for it with full dedication and hardwork with right attitude and approach.
You need to start your preparation for UPSC as soon as possible, you need to start your preparation at least 9-12 months before the exam date, you can even start your preparation for UPSC while pursuing your graduation as well . You need to go through the syllabus of UPSC well and ince you complete the whole syllabus you should go for mock tests, you can make a routine and try to religiously follow it and if you remain dedicated towards achieving your goal, you will be able to fulfil your dream of becoming an IAS officer.
