The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) are a group of science education and research group of institutes in India. These institutions are introduced for the purpose that to be the leading institutions in India for the science education. The Institutions are created by the government of India through the ministry of human resource development (MHRD) under the National Institute of Technology amendment bill, 2010 an amendement of Nartional Institute of Technology act 2007. which was passed by Rajya Sabha on 30 April 2012. candidates should satisfy any of the following criteria can apply for the admission
1. candidates having KVPY (kishore vaigyanik protsahan yojana) fellowship
2. candidates securing rank in JEE advance within 10000 in common rank list
3. candidates who have passed out 10+2 with good marks and above the cutoff percentage in their respective boards can apply for the IAT (IISER aptitude test ) exam. on the basis of the score and cutoff percentage the candidates are alloted IISER's by the Joint Admission Committee (JAC).
