GATE exam is divided into two parts: Part – A and Part – B. Part – A is a mandatory and common section of General Aptitude and Part – B is a subject specialization section. Below, you can check the GATE Exam Pattern detail -
Exam Mode - Online mode i.e. CBT test
Total number of Questions - 65
Maximum Marks - 100
Question Type - MCQs and NAT (Numerical Answer Type)
Total Section - 3
Subject Name - General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics/Chemistry Subject Specialization.

1. Paper Code : CE, CS, EC, AE, AG, BT, CH, ME, MN, MT, EE, IN, TF, XE, PE, ST and PI
GA (General Aptitude) – 15%, Engineering Mathematics – 15%, Subject of the Paper – 70%
2. Paper Code: AR, CY, GG, EY, XL, PH and MA
GA (General Aptitude) – 15%, Subject of the Paper – 85%
