I don't know much about Chitkara University but I can surely tell you about the Chandigarh University , which is one of the greatest universities in North India. Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, Hewlett Packard, SAP Labs, Samsung, L&T, Arcesium, Wipro, and Flipkart recruited engineering students from Chandigarh University for the session Batch 2022. During the campus placements, which were attended by over 240 global businesses, a record number of 3750 engineering students were chosen. The overall number of organizations visiting the CU campus for campus placements of engineering students increased by 30%, while the number of core branch companies that picked fresh talent increased by 70%.

So as far as companies are concerned which come for CS students the list is exhaustive from new startups (Oyorooms, Evive) to MNC’s (Amazon, Directi) and Mass Recruiters like Infosys, TCS. Last year i heard around 400+ companies visited the campus.

The Package can go high upto 22lakhs CTC for a fresher in company like amazon. But most companies give around 7–8lpa CTC.

If a student maintains his/her CGPA above 7.0 he/she is allowed to sit in most of the companies that come for campus placements.

Not aware about placements of Chitkara University. But the placement record of Chandigarh University is best. CU provides best campus placements in Punjab. The placements of Chitkara University are very high and most of the students get placed. The average package of Chitkara University is 6 Lacs and the highest package is 32 Lacs. Companies like Cognizant, Amazon, Dell, Infosys, Nvidia, IBM, Samsung, Microsoft, Google, etc. visit the campus regularly. So overall the placement scenario is pretty good at Chitkara University.

Most companies come for internships in Middle of 6th semester and then it depends upon the student’s skill set to crack the interview of companies.

Some students are also placed at the middle of my 6th semester with a very decent package as a software developer

About Placement -

Placements are really good. Very good companoes come here for placements and almost all the students get placed in either of the company

The university has a very good placement cell. A student can choose this college if he/she wants a good company.The packages range from 3 lpa to 12 lpa. The company that comes for placement also gives an internship opportunity for the student. Students get a very good amount of stipend in their internship period
