According to the TOI, the Bengal AIIMS at Kalyani will start its first MBBS batch this year with 50 seats. Education ministry sources earlier said AIIMS Kalyani would start functioning without an out patient department (OPD) from February 2019, after the first phase of the project gets completed. The hospital, however, is expected to start by September when the MBBS class starts.
