Hello aspirant,

Since you have not mentioned in the query that which state you belong to, so it will be a difficult to explain the admission process as the admission process varies from state to state. However, I'm telling the overall process of admission done in Fishery Science.

You must have completed your 10th and 12th from a recognized board and should have passed in the main subjects as Physics and Mathematics along with an optional subject as Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science/Biotechnology and must have secured at least 50% in the qualifying exam. Admission is of two types- entrance based and merit based.

In entrance level, Admission is done on the grounds of score secured by the candidate in the national or state or college level CET exams and is done through the counselling process whereas in merit level, admission is done directly on the grounds of marks secured by the candidate in the qualifying exam and the college makes a cutoff list based on the exam for admission.

Hope, it helps you.

samiranpain000 BFSc admission is done on the level of merit- marks that you have secured in the qualifying exam. The merit list is prepared by the college by taking aggregate marks secured by the eligible candidates in top four subjects at HSC level. You need to have secured at least 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, English and Biology if you're from general category and 40% marks, if you're from SC/ST category.

Hey,

To pursue your graduation in fisheries , first you need to complete your 10+2 from a respective board. After that you need to sit for the exam conducted at national , state or college level as per the college you want to take admission in.

The NATIONAL LEVEL EXAM IS conducted by INDIAN COUNCIL OF AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH ( ICAR)  . You can sit for the exam and if cleared the cut off you will be alloted a seat in a college in the counseling process.

Different state also conduct their own exam for taking admission into Fisheries courses.

You can search for the exam of the respective college or state.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.
