Well CSAB counselling will start after the end of JoSAA counselling. CSAB Special Round counselling is for JEE Main qualified candidates to get seats in NITs,IIITs and GFTIs. And yes, you have to pay the registration fees for CSAB and have to opt for special round. Below I have provided the eligibility criteria and seat allotment procedure for CSAB Special Round 2019 -
CSAB Special Round eligibility criteria :
- Candidates should have valid JEE Main rank and must fulfill the JoSAA eligibility criteria.
- The candidates who didn't registered or participated in JoSAA , can also apply for special round.
- Candidates who failed to get a seat through JoSAA after participation , can apply for special round.
- Candidates who got seats in JoSAA but failed to report to the allotted institute or have withdrawn their participation from counselling , are also eligible to apply for special round.
- Those candidates who opted not to participate in Special round after JoSAA will not be eligible for CSAB special round.
CSAB Special Round Seat Allotment :
- Registration - Candidates have to register for CSAB Special Round by using their JEE Main application number and password.They will have to upload the required documents.
- Participation fees - After registration, the candidates have to pay the required fees through SBI MOPS payment gateway.
- Choice filling and locking - Candidates have to fill the choice of college and branch as per their preference and then locking them.
- Announcement of seat allotment - The authorities will allot seats to the candidates on the baisis of JEE Main merit,choice filling and seats availability.
- Seat confirmation payment - Candidates have to confirm their seat by paying the required fee.
- Online reporting to college allotted - The candidates have to report online to their allotted institutes by using their JEE Mains credentials. Also they have to upload the neccessary documents.
- Personal reporting to the college - Candidates have to personally report to the allotted college with in the time period specified.
