CAT is conducted for duration of two hours in CBT mode, since last year the entrance test will have MCQs and Non-MCQs questions with three sections such as VARC and QA have 26 questions, DILR has 24 questions, the time duration of each section is of 40 minutes, there will be a total of 76 questions carrying 228 marks, for each correct answer three marks are awarded and in case of each incorrect attempt one mark is deduced.
In order to initiate preparation for any exam, candidates need to be well acquainted with the syllabus, CAT consists of three sections with their respective syllabus and recommended books are as follows-
