PLEASE TELL ME THAT HOW TO CONVERT PERCENTILE TO PERCENTAGE AND PERCENTILE TO MARKS (UGC NET) FOR PhD ADMISSION
Hello Aspirant,Hope you are doing well
The Percentile Score is the score based on the relative performance of all the candidates who appear for the UGC NET exam. During the percentile calculation, the scores obtained by candidates in a session are converted into a scale ranging from 100-0.
The percentile score basically indicates the percentage of candidates who have secured equal to or below that particular percentile in the exam. This means that the topper of each session of the UGC NET exam gets the same percentile, which is 100. The marks obtained in between the highest and lowest scores are also converted into percentiles.
The National Testing Agency uses the following formula to calculate the percentile scores of candidates:
100 X No.of candidates appeared i the session with raw score equal toor less than candidate/Total no.of candidates appeared in the session
Hope this helps you
