Faculty - No college has good faculty in UPTU, including the likes of colleges such as IET, Lucknow etc. There are only 1 or 2 good professors in each of the departments, who can be considered as knowledgeable and you can actually look forward to learning from them.

Placements - Well you can hope of getting moderate placements from below colleges (average 3 LPA). You can expect a few good firms such as Snapdeal, MAQ, McGrawhill Financial, Nucleus, Impetus, Mother Son Sony, DELL, INOX,  apart from the normal IT giants - TCS, INFY, COGNIZANT. :

I am a 2013 pass out of UPTU and have a lot of friends who are from different colleges in UPTU, and frankly speaking the university is really below the mark for the level of technical education.

Strong suggestion - Do reconsider your decision of joining UPTU.

All said and done, if you really want to opt for UPTU, then do pick up a college from NCR, it gives you a bit of more exposure, and also increases the placement chances, since the local start ups and other various firms situated in NCR are likely to visit the campuses.
