Please tell me the detail of get admission based on IIM ahmedabad. And tell me about placement.
I am assuming you are from general category. A lot depends on your profile. Assuming you have a decent overall profile(85%+ throughout), you will be needing above 99.5 percentile to get a call for the next round.
All the best!
In order to get admission in any of the IIMs you need to appear for CAT which is a national level aptitude exam conducted by IIMs themselves. IIM Ahmedabad considers the scores of CAT only not of GMAT. In order to get a call from IIM AHMEDABAD you must aim no less than 99 percentile.
However now, almost all B-schools are aiming high towards inclusion and so they try to incorporate students from varied backgrounds (education, work experience, etc.) so IIMs are now sending calls to students with slightly leveraged percentiles as well. Last year students were sent a call at 90 percentile too and they converted the same.
Cutoff for IIM AHMEDABAD is
VA-RC : 85 percentile
DILR : 85 percentile
QA : 85 percentile
OVERALL : 90 percentile.
Let me tell you one thing. These are anticipated cutoffs and the actual cutoffs are much higher.
Placements at IIM Ahmedabad have always been commendable. There is no doubt in that. Average placement is around 22 lpa. Highest is somewhere around 53 lpa.
Note : these are rough estimates of placements and keep changing every year. Rather I must say, they improve and each IIM aims to set a new milestone every year.
You can however, look into their final placement on this link for more clarity:

You want to know how to get admission in top 3 b-school of our country and the one which ranked in top 50 among the world b-schools. So, you can imagine the difficulty/competition of getting admission in IIM Ahmedabad.
First of all, you need to give CAT exam conducted every year in the month of October/November. After CAT exam every college including IIMs prepares a merit list to call students for next round of interview and WSAT based on your aggregate score which comprises of many parameters such as CAT marks, 10th, 12th and graduation percentage, work experience, engineer or non-engineer, gender whose weight varies for all different IIMs.
Generally to get a call from IIM Ahmedabad for the second round of WSAT and Interview you need to score 99.6+ percentile. Even if you score above 99.6+ percentile and you don't have strong profile i.e. good academic records then also you won't be able to get a call for the second round. Two of my friends got 99.81 and 99.87 percentile in CAT 2014 and CAT 2015 but didn't get a call from IIM Ahmedabad and Bangalore due to average academic records. IIM A looks for a candidate with an overall excellent profile.
After the second round again a new merit list is made in which along with CAT marks, interview and WSAT marks have the highest weightage. So, even after getting a call you need to perform excellently in the second round to be at the top position and get admission. Generally, IIM A calls 3 students for every 1 seat in the college so you need to have an overall aggregate score high which can take you atleast in top 30% of students in the final merit list.
