There are numerous engineering colleges in the country. Some of the best ones include:-

The IITs and NITs are some of the best government engineering colleges in the country. In order to get an admission into IITs, one needs to appear for JEE mains, qualify in it and secure a rank in the following JEE advance examinations. NITs, too, give admissions on the basis of one's score in JEE mains.

Apart from JEE, many states have their own CET or Common entrance tests that enable students to get admissions into various colleges.

Numerous Universities also host their own entrance exams that students can attempt if they wish to get an admission into said University.

In order to apply for one of these institutions, an aspirant needs to clear their 10+2 with the relevant subjects and secure a rank in the aforementioned tests.

Apart from the conventional methods, a student can also pursue their diploma in engineering and pursue a bachelor's degree afterwards. However, the number of seats reserved for diploma aspirants is usually lower.
