It helps to learn about the world, about the things happening around you.  One of the most valuable course.  Science makes you eligible for Engineering as well as for medicine Courses. Science is all about knowing,understanding, teaching , inventing the things.

Arts:
It  helps you to learns and develop yourself first to make Eligible for a job. One of the least choosed course but one of the best course for self development. Arts makes you eligible for business career, political career, even for UPSC examininations. arts study about Geography, history social etc.,

Now, decision is yours ,choose accordingly you your ambitions
