In the NEET 2016 and 2017 exam most of the questions were from Biological Classification, Principles of Inheritance and Variation and morphology of flowering plants, Reproduction, Cell unit of life, Animal kingdom. Whereas very few questions came from Mineral Nutrition, Digestion and absorption, Biotechnology and Applications, Breathing and exchange of gases.

In the NEET 2016 and 2017 exam most of the questions in Physics were from the following chapters - Mechanical properties, Dual nature of matter and radiation, Magnetism and moving charges, Current and electricity, Thermodynamics, Work Power and Energy, Ray optics etc. Whereas there were only few questions asked from the chapters of Kinematics, Waves, Alternating Current, Electric Field, Semiconductor etc.

Some of the important chapters for the NEET 2016 and 2017 exams were - Basic concepts of Chemistry, Equilibrium, Chemical bonding, Coordination compounds, Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic acids, Alkanes, Alkenes and Alkynes, the s, d and f block elements. Whereas least number of questions come from the chapters of Solutions, Haloalkanes and Haloarenes, Alcohol, Phenol and Ethers.
