Hello,
Well, both these branch are popular branches among students and offers decent job opportunities after graduation!!!
Computer science engineering is a programme that integrates the fields of computer Science and computer engineering. It deals with the design, construction, maintenance and operation of computer hardware and software.
Information technology(IT)it is a combination of programming, hardware administration, software administration, networking and network security.
IT engineering requires a person to apply his/her knowledge and skills in converting, storing, protecting, processing, transmitting and retrieving information from computers and associated electronic devices
This is the difference between CSE and IT
CSE and IT are listed amongst the best and most promising career options in terms of job prospects...!!!
Hope this helps
Hi Aspirant,
Computer Science Engineering is the science of using software programming practices and algorithms to achieve a specific programming/software target. You basically create softwares/apps or you work on more and more efficient algorithms for specific targets.
Information Technology (IT) is a much vast domain than CSE, and contrary to the public opinion that IT is just a subdomain of CSE, I would like to say that this is NOT so. Information Technology is the REAL WORLD APPLICATION of the programming practices and algorithms to an industry’s benefit, designing information exchange systems for the real world entities and yes, we IT guys need to learn bit of Electronics & Communication also which would be employed in such job processes. IT is also concerned with INFORMATION SECURITY.
But here in India the syllabi of the branches in UG degree programmes is more or less the same so it matters least which particular branch you’re in.
I hope it helps you.
