Shantanu,
Since the time frame you mentioned is a very small window for even revising everything. But still there are a few things you can keep in mind to increase your score by around 10-20 points which is a big deal.
1. Focus on revision. Do not try to learn up the new concepts and get into the tiring and uninspiring cycles of YouTube lectures now. Those are not bad things but now is not the right time.
2. Make a schedule. Make a schedule, not a very tight and impractical one. And follow it strictly for at least a week. Put time slots for revision of various subjects.
3. Pick up NCERT. Forget everything and every book you have heard of. Just pick up all the NCERTs of 11th and 12th and keep the revision on.
4. Focus on the important topic. Analyse the exam pattern and find out the important topics to study. In this little window of 10 days you cannot master everything. Be reasonable and practical. And know your limits.
5. Important topics.
- Physics: mechanics, thermodynamics, atoms, semiconductors, communication, magnetism, alternating current, electostatics, electrodynamics, fluid mechanics are some important topics. Keep in mind mugging up NCERT volume 2 of class 12, especially wave optics, dual nature, atoms, semiconductors and communication will boost up your physics score by 5-8 mark minimum.
- Chemistry: focus on concepts and numericals of physical chemistry especially thermodynamics, equilibrium, chemical kinetics, solutions and mug up metallurgy, chemistry in everyday life, polymer and s,p,d,f Blocks.
- Mathematics: keep on doing the Sums, the more variety the better. Pay special attention to probability, vectors, coordinate geometry, calculus, trigonometry, mathematical reasoning.
6. Previous years paper: keep on practicing the previous years papers. It's a key determinant of any exams' results.
7. Find mock tests online. And do them honestly and sincerely.
8. Lastly but most important, every mark you gain will increase your rank on the all India basis, but every negative mark will kill your efforts. Avoid touching the questions you are unsure about.
Stay focused and work persistently. Take breaks in-between and have a self assessment about the subjects that you are reading. Which one to practice more and etc. Make small notes and keep it handy. Take as many tests as possible. It will help you identify your weaknesses. Don't forget to enjoy your life as well . EAT,PRAY,STUDY repeat.Prepare a schedule as per the known weightages and work evenly for the 3 subjects. Prepare short notes for chemistry from ncert. Also prepare a formulas list for maths and physics. Time management is also an important thing,so work on the practice papers within the given time. Maintain a error notes where you should note all your errors so that it will be useful for revision
Good luck!
Hello Shantanu,
As you said that you have only 10 days, your preparation must be very hard in the next coming days.
Brush up all the formulas first of all, better to write them and go through them every day for the next 5-6 days.
Along with that, check you strong points and concentrate and strength them.
Dont waste your time on topics which are too weak for you, 10 days would be very less to get a good grip on them.
Practice 2-3 Sample Papers or previous year papers every day.
Keep a check on the topics that have more weightage in Mains and kindly practice them more than other.
Remain calm and cool, you can do well.
All the best.
Hello Shantanu!
Success in JEE comes with consistency. If you have studied your syllabus very well earlier then then only you can get decent marks.
Still I don't know that how much marks you exactly mean by "decent marks" here.
Now for these 10 days you must entirely depend upon the SOLVED CHAPTERWISE PREVIOUS YEAR PAPERS availabe market by arihant or mtg. Just solve 3-4 papers daily and revise the formulas and concepts. That is enough for grabbing the most marks.
All the best!!
This is possible only when if you read all the subjects thoroughly and properly. You can score decent marks ,this may happen ,be confident. You should revise all things whatever you read before the exam. You should not leave any topic of the syllabus. You should be according to the syllabus. You must practice regularly with speed and accuracy.Solve previous year question papers. You can score more marks in chemistry. This is the scoring subject.
Hope it helps you.
Best of luck.
Hello
During the last few preparation days, you should focus on revision. Revise everything which you have studied. Solve previous year question papers andmock tests. Solving mock tests will help you to analyze your preparation level. You can know about your mistakes and improve it. Also, it helps to enhance speed and accuracy.
Speed and Accuracy both are the key factors to score a good percentile in this highly competitive exam.
