Dear Aspirant,

VELTECH :-

Placements: Around 70% of students are placed from the department of computer science and engineering. When it comes to all departments, around 45% of students are placed. Placements are good for CSE and ECE departments. The highest package was offered by Mu Sigma, and it was 30 LPA in 4 years. BYJU's offered 10 LPA, Infosys offered 8 LPA, KAAR Technologies offered 7 LPA, Capgemini offered 6.8 LPA, and Accenture offered a package of 6.2 LPA. The average package offered was 4 LPA, and the lowest package was 2.4 LPA. Top recruiters are Capgemini, Infosys, Accenture, TCS, MindTree, Mu Sigma, DXC, Hexaware, KAAR Technologies, and nearly 200 companies participate in the recruitment process in the college. Nearly 70% of students got internships in CSE for completion of the project, and some companies are Capgemini, MindTree, K7 Computing etc. The top roles offered by Capgemini were senior analyst and analyst. I got placed in Capgemini. Other companies offered the roles of software developer, system engineer, assistant software developer, software tester, business development associates etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. Good lab facilities are available with the required equipment. Classrooms are good with projectors. The hostel facilities are good. Mess is good, and chicken is available every day except Saturday. Wi-Fi is available. Gym facilities are also there along with a trainer. A medical room is available for first-aid facilities. A playground is present, where we can play different sports like cricket, volleyball, football, basketball etc.

Faculty: The faculty members have a minimum qualification of post-graduation, and most of them are having PhDs. They are helpful and always supportive in any academic activities. The faculty were friendly, and the teaching quality was good. They have vast experience in different fields. The course curriculum is relevant and helpful.

SASTRA :-

Placements: Nearly 80% of the students got placed, but the majority of them are in the IT sector. Core jobs are very minimal, and we can hardly expect a few core companies. The highest salary package offered is 22 LPA by Paypal, the lowest salary package offered is 3.6 LPA by TCS, and the average salary package offered is approximately 4-4.5 LPA. Cisco and IBM are the top recruiters for ECE. Internship opportunities are very few this year, and there are hardly a few companies that offered internships. Network associate roles related to networking and design specialist roles related to VLSI are top roles offered in ECE.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in hostels and libraries, and it is accessible to students. Wi-Fi in classrooms and labs are limited to professors and other teaching staff members. Hostels are not that good. The canteen is for namesake and can only find a regular daily needs. Mess food is sometimes average and sometimes bad. Medical facilities are the worst as no safety factors are involved, and a hospital with strict timings is not a great option in a university. There are sports clubs, and every year a sports event is conducted, which would be a little fun part to enjoy. Till last year we had a ground to play cricket, but a new building had raised there, so now there is no ground to play.

Faculty: Teaching quality is good, and most of our faculty members are doctorate holders. The course curriculum is old and doesn't support any industry readiness. Students who are interested and aim for a job have to gain skills and knowledge on their own.
