Polytecnic is amost same as diploma excpet for the duration of period and that polytechnic is for engineering branches.

Some of the courses in polytechnic are diploma in

1. Computer Science Engineering
2. Civil ENgineering
3. Electronical And Electronics ENgineering
4. Electronics and Communication
5. Garment Technology
6. Mechanical Engineering etc.

However, I would recommend the courses that are more job oriented, such as Computer Science, Electronics and Communications, and electrical and electronics. There are other courses too such as Agricultural engineering, metallurgical engineering etc but not much oriented towards jobs and placements.
