Presidency university Bangalore is a private institute established under karanataka state law.Yes,Presidency university is a Autonomous college.It sets it's own rules and syllabus.

An autonomous college is a college which is affiliated to a university.
In a private university, the syllabus is designed by them and the exams as well as the evaluation too is done by them.
