Government colleges are always good compared to private colleges. The fee is low in government colleges than private colleges. In government colleges seniored and experienced faculty will be there.

First always prefer government college than private colleges. If you have no chance of getting government college then go for private colleges.

HELLO SANDI SAHU

First of all both government and Private Dental colleges are have their own importance.

· Getting admission in Government Dental Colleges(GDC) is one of the toughest job to do due to few seats and negligible tution fees but in Private Dental Colleges (PDC)one can get addmission easily after heavy tution fee payment.

· In GDC patient flow is excellent as all treatment are at cheapest Price.

here’s a comparison that can help you make an informed choice..

Government Dental College

1. Affordable to most: Very difficult to get into, and require topmost ranks in entrance examinations! This is because seats are limited and the fees is very less compared to pvt colleges.

2. Extensive patient exposure: Government colleges offer you with the choice of working on as many patients as you possibly can. This is because treatment being free or almost at negligible charges , patient inflow is very high.

3. Good Stipend: Government colleges offer a handsome stipend to interns and post graduates as well, making your work seem worthwhile.

4. Poor infrastructure: Infrastructure is poor in most of these which makes learning and working conditions difficult.

5. Inadequate teaching staff : Teaching staff here are often inadequate and in poor attendance too many a times , making learning a tougher process.

Private dental colleges

1. Expensive beyond words: Private dental colleges are not affordable to most people and the fees are definitely very very high.

2. Lesser patient exposure: Due to higher treatment charges (still lesser than private clinics) compared to government dental colleges, patient inflow is moderate and in many metros with multiple dental colleges, patient inflow is very poor at times as well.

3. Good infrastructure : Infrastructure is usually very good and provides better learning opportunities theoretically.

4. Sufficient teaching staff: In most of the good private colleges, teaching staff attendance is maintained on a strict basis which leads to better attendance and in turn more availability to the students.

5. No stipend/ poor stipend: At the end of your bachelors course, while working as an intern or during postgraduation, you may feel shortchanged when your hard work is rewarded with nothing financially. Especially coz that is the time you are learning to spread your wings and do not want to be solely dependent on your parents for all your financial needs. Moreover most of your friends in other professions like engineering/ arts/ commerce etc have already begun to earn a decent amount!

But finally what I believe is , if you have the hunger to learn and the zest to strive for excellence, a college is the smallest step on your way to achieving success and that you will acheive my friend, no matter which college you decide to take up!

HOPE IT HELPS
