Polytechnic course's duration is 3 years and one who has done 10th education from the recognized board is eligible for Polytechnic Admission. Applying for Polytechnic course can be done in two methods either through entrance test or by fulfilling basic eligibility criteria of the board/college.

For BE/Btech, not all the engineering colleges in India accept the score of a single engineering entrance exam for admissions. The acceptability of entrance test score varies from college to college and state to state. JEE Main is the widely acceptable entrance test, and most of the engineering colleges in India accept JEE Mains score for B.Tech admissions.
