process of become scientist in drdo full process and subject after 10th
Hello dear aspirant,
If you want to become class A grade scientist then here is some advice.
After your class 10th, you have to choose PCM & computer science (physics, Chemistry, Maths) then try to score good percentile of your 11th & 12th class then give jEE and choose a reputed engineering college and then select branch like CS,(computer science engg), ECE (Electrical & communicational engg), EE(Electrical Engg), Or ME (Mechanical Engg) .
Then give GATE exam on final year and UPSC IES examination after that u can enter as a class B grade Scientist or class A grade scientist depending upon your GATE score, IES mains score and your final year CGPA on the basis of this you may select for class A grade graduated officer (Scientist).
Thank you
All the very best
For getting into DRDO, you should fulfill certain criteria or requirements, to be able to work. There are a total of 4 levels of posts in scientists, which you can apply for depending upon eligibility. They are:
Scientist 'B' post
Scientist 'C' post
Scientist 'D' post
Scientist 'E' post
Educational Qualification for Senior Technical Assistant under DRDO Technical Cadre
Candidates should have passed a Bachelor's Degree in Science/ 3-years Diploma in Engineering/Technology/Computer Science/allied subjects in required discipline from a recognized Institute. Candidates who are pursuing their final year degree in any stream are also eligible to apply for DRDO 2020.
Eligibility:
For Senior Technical Assistant B
Candidate applying for this must be a B.Sc Graduate/ Diploma in Engineering/ Technology in specified subjects.
For Admin & Allied Cadre
Candidate applying for this post should be Assistant Hindi/PA/Admin & Store Assistant.
For Technician A
Candidate applying for this should qualify their matriculation and do ITI in specific trades.

Candidates should ensure that they satisfy every component of the Eligibility Criteria for DRDO. Otherwise, when found, their candidature will be canceled.
Educational Qualification for Technician 'A' under DRDO Technical Cadre
Candidates should be a class 10th qualified or equivalent from a recognized Board/Institute. Along with it he/she should possess a certificate from a recognized Industrial Training Institute (ITI). If an ITI doesn't provide a certificate in that course, a candidate should have a minimum of a 1-year course certificate from a recognized institute OR a National Trade Certificate in required discipline OR National Apprenticeship Certificate in the required discipline.
Gate Qualification
Candidates who have a valid GATE score in the year of 2016/ 2017/ 2018 are also eligible to apply.
Upper Age Limit: Candidates who are more than 28 years of age (as on 31st May 2018) are not eligible for the DRDO exam.
Age limit Relaxation:
SC/ST candidates: Not exceeding 33 Years (5 Years of Relaxation). For Scientist 'B' Post
OBC (non-creamy layer): Not exceeding 31 Years (3 Years of Relaxation). For Scientist 'B' Post
For every other post, age limit relaxation is reserved as per the rules
The age limit is also relaxed for candidates who are from Armed Forces as per rules.
Age of Scientist "D"/ "E" should not exceed 45 years.
Age of Scientist "C" should not exceed 35 years.
After 10th you must go for physics, Chemistry and maths as compulsory subject,or for ITI for a blue collar(lower) post jobs
After class 10th you need to first take up science stream with maths as a subject. PCMB stream would be good, with some computer studies. Then, you can either go for general BSc in Physics or Chemistry or Mathematics or go for engineering. Basically, you need to score a minimum of 65% marks in your MSc or engineering postgraduate level exam from a recognised University. Then, you can apply for DRDO SET exam, which is the recruitment exam for scientists in DRDO. You can join DRDO that way. GATE exam scores are also considered for the recruitment.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!
