Proper definition of ferromagnetic , ferrimagnetic and antiferromagnetic substances ?
Hello
- Ferromagnetic Substances - These have all the magnetic domains aligned in one direction and are useful in making permanet magnets. Eg - Iron, Cobalt
- Ferrimagnetic Substances - Have magnetic domains unevenly aligned and show minute net magnetic moment. Eg - Ferrites. These transform into paramagnetic substance above Curie Temperature.
- Antiferro magnetic - Magnetic moments equal and opposite to each other so resultant is zero. Eg - Manganese Oxide and Manganese Dioxide .
Definition and examples are provided above, hope this helps .
