Indian Engineering Services comprise of engineers who work under the Government of India and designated as Class – 1 officer. You can check the eligibility criteria below - (I) Nationality: A candidate must be either:(a) A citizen of India or (b) A subject of Nepal or A subject of Bhutan (II) Age Limits: A candidate for this examination must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st January, of the exam year. (III) Minimum Educational Qualifications: Obtained a degree in Engineering from a university incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as universities. Exam pattern is - Preliminary Test - This would be divided into 2 parts, Paper 1 and 2 and pattern would be objective. In paper 1, General Studies and Engineering Aptitude would be there. Exam duration is 2 hrs and total marks are 200. In paper 2, Engineering discipline would be there. You will be given 3 hrs and total marks are 300. Mains Examination - This would be divided into 2 parts,Paper 1 and 2 and pattern would be conventional which includes Engineering discipline 1 and 2. Exam duration is 3 hrs and total marks would be 300. Also, notification would be coming out on 27th-Sep-2017 and exam will be held on 7th-Jan-2018.
