Providing admission in B.Tech Computer Engineering on which basis?
Many of the B.Tech colleges (Whatever branch it is, be it Computer engineering/Electrical engineering etc...) provide admission through a entrance exam. Depending on the college/university you'll be having the exam.
Suppose, for admission in pvt. colleges like VIT, you need to write the entrance exam VITEEE.
To get a admission in government universities, you need to write the state CET (For Andhra Pradesh it's EAMCET)
You need to get a good rank, in order to join a branch you want to join.
Apart from these, you can join through management quota, but it's too expensive, depending on the college. (For this you need to contact the college, you wish to join)
The cost depends on the branch you need!
All the best!
Hello aspirant,
The admissions to the B.tech course in computer science adn Engineering is done on Both merit-based and entrance test based.
For Merit basis, you will get admission based on the marks scored in your class 12th boards examination. Merit admissions are usually done on the private engineering colleges. Some private colleges directly take the admissions based on the class 12th score, while some private colleges take admissions based on the entrance test marks conducted by the university.
Further, the entrance based admissions for B.tech CSE is based on the cutoff marks scored in ALL India Entrance Level Examination. The Entrance Exams are like JEE mains, AP EAMCET, MHTCET, TS EAMCET, etc. The admissions to the B.tech courses are done after clearing these entrance level examinations and the Government colleges are allotted to the students who scores and clear the cutoff for the entrance level exam.
