Hello Harshita!.

I am also a mechanical scholar. And recently I came to know that mechanical students can not only give gate exam but they are also having better chances of qualifying it with a very good rank.

One more thing mechanical is a fantastic branch I appreciate your choice and decision of giving GATE in Cse is fabulous I am also going to do the same.

Dear Aspirant,

A candidate who is persuing Bachelor of Technology in mechanical engineering can definitely appear in the GATE paper of Computer science and information technology.

But you have to prepare very well for this Examination.

You have to cover the syllabus of CS and IT .

You have to prepare for the interview of IITs.
