The tuition fees for the government quota in private colleges is settled at Rs. 4 lakhs for the MBBS course compared to about a crore in that of private Universities. Apart from counselling for private colleges , the state authority will also conduct counselling for state quota seats in government colleges . Reservation criteria apply to state quota seats only, while for private colleges there is no reservation based on a candidate's category.
