Hello candidate,

In presence of only electric field or only magnetic field or if both are present, then the particle is influenced by the stronger force of both of them the kinetic energy of the particle also editor on the actual force acting on it.

If the magnetic forces acting on the particle then it follows a helical or a spherical part as motion of trajectory where as the electrostatic force rather provides a a rectilinear motion of propagation for the charge particle.
