Qualification of EAMCET to clg
Dear aspirant;
Candidates are suggested to check the AP EAMCET Eligibility 2018 before applying for the exam. Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada organizes AP EAMCET examination to provide admissions in different UG professional courses offered by various colleges and universities in Andhra Pradesh state. These courses are offered in the field of engineering, pharmacy & agriculture.
The eligibility criteria for Engineering, B.Pharmacy (M.P.C), Pharma.D, B.Tech. (Dairy), B.Tech. (Ag. Engineering), B.Tech. [Food Science and Technology (FS & T)], B.Sc. [Agriculture Engg] courses are given below:
Nationality:
Candidates must be an Indian Citizen, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders.
Aspirants must belong to Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana.
The candidates should satisfy Local/Non-Local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh/Telangana.
Qualification Criteria:
Candidates must have passed or appearing in the final year of 12th or equivalent exam from any recognized board of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects.
Candidates who have completed or appearing in Diploma in Engineering courses can also apply.
For Pharm-D course, students should have passed or appearing in the final year of 12th or equivalent class from recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects as optional.
Diploma in Pharmacy candidates can also apply for Pharm-D course.
Students must obtain 45% marks for general candidates and 40% marks for reserved category in the core subjects.
Age Criteria:
For engineering and pharmacy courses, students must have completed 16 years age as or on 31st December of the year of admission. No upper age limitation for these courses.
For B.Tech. (Dairy Technology), B.Tech. (FS & T), B.Tech. (Ag. Engineering) and B.Sc. (CA & BM) courses candidates should cross the minimum age limit of 17 years as or on 31st December of the year of admission and 22 years age maximum age limit for general and 25 years for SC and ST candidates.
For Pharm-D course, candidates, should have completed 17 years age as or on 31st December of the year of admission.

Admissions under Convener's Quota (70% of intake in each branch):
A Candidate for admission to the four-year degree course in Engineering must have passed the Intermediate examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects.
All the eligible applicants for admission into First Year shall have to qualify in the EAMCET Examination conducted by the Govt. of AP. The candidates will be admitted strictly in accordance with the merit secured at the Entrance Examination keeping in view the rules in force regarding the reservations of seats of various categories of candidates.
The candidates should satisfy local/non-local status requirement as laid down in the AP Educational institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order 1974 as amended from time to time.
Admissions under Category 'B' (15% Management Quota + 15% NRI quota on intake) :
The seats shall be filled as per rules.
