Correct Answer: Both I and II
Solution : Let the speed of Ram be $x$ km/hr ⇒ Speed of Mohan = $(x+10)$ km/hr Distance covered by Ram in 8 hours $= x × 8 = 8x$ km Distance covered by Mohan in 4 hours $= (x + 10) × 4 = 4x + 40$ km According to the question, $8x = 4x + 40$ ⇒ $4x = 40$ ⇒ $x = 10$ ⇒ Speed of Mohan = 20 km/hr and Speed of Ram = 10 km/hr The sum of their speeds = 20 + 10 = 30 km/hr Hence, the correct answer is Both I and II.
