Recruitment to the Garuds is done directly through airmen selection centres via advertisements. Does this mean a civilian can directly apply for the Garud Commando force?

Hello,
There are two types of vacancies in GARUD Recruitment
1. Non-Commissioned: The selection is done directly through Airmen Section Center. The notification/advertisement will be released and the eligible interested civilians can apply for Non-Commissioned vacancies through this mode.
2. Commissioned: These type of vacancies are filled by the cadets of ground duty at Air force Academy, Dundigal. Only the commissioned candidates can apply for such vacancies.
So, if you are a civilian you can apply for Non-Commissioned GARUD Vacancies when the notification is released.
