According to the sources,a new rule was recently out which says tht gen students can attempt neet 9 times whereas obc,sc and st students can attempt it 14 times thereby discarding the 3 ATTEMPT RULE :) Originally Answered: How many times can I attempt for NEET entrance exam.

Candidates who are citizens of India, NRIs, PIOs, OCIs and foreign nationals are eligible to take NEET 2019. Since NEET was made mandatory for candidates who wish to study medicine abroad, therefore, such candidates will be required to fill the NEET 2019.

Thanks,

Azim
