Maulana Azad National Urdu University is a Central University located in the city of Hyderabad in the Indian state of Telangana. It was named after Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, India's first Minister of Education, a freedom fighter in India's struggle for independence, and a scholar of Islam and Urdu literature.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria for UG & PG Courses

For admissions to UG programmes , aspirants must have passed their 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 35% aggregate marks. While, the eligibility criteria that aspirants need to fulfill to secure admission in PG programmes at MANUU states that aspirants must have acquired a minimum of 45% marks in any Bachelor’s degree/ equivalent degree.

Note : Aspirants are advised to thoroughly go through the eligibility criteria as mentioned by MANNU University for the course in which they wish to secure admission.

For admissions to programmes taking admissions on merit, MANUU would release the list of selected candidates. Students need to keep a check on the same and get in touch with the University once this list is released. Further, the candidates will be called in for an Interview depending on the programme selected.

Application Process for All Courses

For admissions based on Entrance Test:

The application process for admissions to MANUU is completely online. Online application and registration forms for MANUU entrance test will be available by the first week of May. The last date to apply typically ends by the last week of May/First week of June.

Aspirants should not send a hard copy/ printed application form to the University. The same will not be accepted. Students are advised to read the instructions on application form carefully before filling, choose correct program, correct college/ centers/department, exam center, etc.

For admissions based on merit:

For admissions to merit based programs, aspirants must fill the application forms only online. The last date for submission of form for merit based admissions usually ends by the mid-week of July.

Application fee is 300/-

Documents required:

• Proof of Urdu education at 10th /12th level
• Photo of candidate or any one parent/guardian
• Receipt of Challan as applicable
• 10th class/equivalent marks sheet
• Copies of certificates/Marks sheet (s) of qualifying examinations
• Proof of caste/category certificate
