Respected sir, i cleared in JEE Mains with 86% percentile.but my category was wrongly entered gen-EWS instead of OBC-NCL.now can i chnage my category before appearing to JEE Advance exam?and what is the process tio change my category.

Firstly congratulations on your success, 86 percentile is pretty decent.


Now coming back on your question, the answer is NO. You can't change category declared during JEE (Main) 2020 registration. But don't panic in that case, you can register for JEE Advanced by declaring that you do not belong to gen-EWS, but make sure your JEE Main score is above the General Cut-off. If your JEE Main score is below the General Cut-off you are not eligible for Advanced 2020. And for any other reference you can visit Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JOSAA) official website.
