Dear Aspirant,

Chances are close to zero for you to get any IIIT/NIT. You might get some lower branch in NITs like NIT Uttarakhand, Puducherry, etc that too if those NITs are your home state NITs. Otherwise, you will not be able to get any NIT/IIIT. You have to have your OBC rank under 15000 to get NITs/IIITs all across the country.

However, if this was your first attempt then I suggest you must take a drop and prepare again for the exam. You could join coaching if your family can afford. Try to get your general rank under 80k and OBC rank under 10K to get a good college with a branch of your preference.

Hope this helps.

Hi vamsi ,

I regret to inform you that with such a low score you cannot get admission into any prestigious college of engineering like nits or iiits.

As nits or iiits are one of the most sought after college in feild of engineering so they have high cutoffs for the candidates to get admission.

Either you take part in any other councelling process or take admission into any reputed private institutes.

Hope it helps!!!

Most probably, no. Keep looking for other colleges accepting jee main score. This score may be a bit too low. But since you have an OBC rank, i would still tell you to try for north eastern colleges. Nit sikkim , nit mizoram, nit arunachal pradesh or such. You may get into the waitlist.

All the best.

Hello,

With that rank in JEE main you cannot get a seat in any government colleges for engineering like NITs IIITs and GFTIs. It would be impossible to get a seat in government college.

So please go for some good private engineering colleges in India like Sharda SRM Amity etc.

Here's a list of some of the best

Hello there!!! Based on your rank it is very unlikely that  would get a seat in a good government engineering college since your rank is not good enough. You should try for other colleges through different entrance exams or go for private colleges.  You can also check out more possibilities by using our college predictor tool using the following link:https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor
