Hello Rajan,

To change a sentence from active voice to passive voice you need to make to make the object of the active sentence into the subject of the passive sentence.

So here in this sentence you need to do the same thing.

This sentence can be framed in passive voice as follow:

"A new chairperson was elected yesterday by the members."

Hope it clears your doubt.

Thank you!

Hi Aspirant,

Passive voice is a form where the subject undergoes the action of verb. However in this sentence the passive voice would be:

A new Chairperson was elected by the members yesterday.

Dont forget to give the ending fullstop or else marks will be deducted.Anyways you could practise more such voices from book Wren and Martin.

Hope it helps!!
