In the United Kingdom, trainee clinical psychologists start at £30,000-31,000 according to the NHS Agenda for Change pay rates. However, after qualification, they may earn salaries within the NHS, starting at £37,000-38,000. The NHS pays a London high-cost area supplement at 20% of basic salary for inner London, 15% for outer London and 5% for fringe areas.
