Hi Vedarth,
Aerospace Engineers are in much demand in India for jobs like designing aircrafts, spacecrafts, missiles and satellites. There are a few government organisations like HAL, DRDO and NAL but they too require recommendations to get in or may have there own exams specially in the case of IIST and ISRO.
Now to talk about the average salary, the average salary of an aerospace engineer is around Rs.6 Lacs with added incemtives like retirement plans, medical benefits etc.
Hi
The salary of aerospace engineer depends upon their skills and experience of the aerospace engineer as a fresher it is difficult to find the job in this state industry because it requires experience and the openings are not such frequent is compared to IT sector therefore if you are from a prestigious Institute such as IIT then there are quite a good chances that you will get placed from the campus but if you are doing from other colleges then it might happen that you need to pursue Masters to get a job therefore the first factor comes is it you should be from a good college for instance Airbus has offered a open package of more than one crore at IIT Kanpur but if you look at many private colleges then no candidate get placed from the campus.
In terms of salary it can be anything it can go upto 7 digits is I mentioned Airbus offer package of 1 crore.
Hope this helps all the best.
