Hey aspirant,
When it comes to priority, graduates of both MBBS and B.Sc. in Agriculture are important in their respective fields. Food security and technology is as important as healthcare. In fact, every field has its own importance, whether it is arts, political science, engineering or medicine.
MBBS graduates are given more respect as a 'doctor' because they save lives. But that doesn't mean an agriculturist isn't respected, remember, our nation was built by farmers, who are rightly credited as the backbone of our nation.
When it comes to salary, an MBBS degree without a postgraduate degree like MD or MS won't get you a job. Qualifying for UG NEET itself is difficult, either you need to work very hard or have someone to pay a big amount for a management seat.
A B.Sc. in Agriculture graduate can go for masters or PhD courses, work as an agricultural research scientist, setup your own innovative startup for solving issues related to agriculture and food security or even switch to fields like banking, teaching and other government jobs.
Your salary will depend on your skills, not just your education. Not all doctors are highly paid and there are agriculturists who make more money than doctors!
Finally, when you plan for your career, you should choose to study in the field of your choice in which you are most interested, you must be passionate about working in your field, otherwise you will lose the essence of life.
Hope this is helpful. All the best
Hello there
It is very obvious that mbbs is far more popular course in india than bsc agriculture . Mbbs is a 5 years course while bsc agri. Is 3 years undergraduate program .Also the placements for mbbs is much higher than bsc agri .In order to get a good placement in agriculture science field ,you have to consider master courses also .So if you can then give priority to mbbs .But the fee difference is quite a lot .You can do bsc agri at a average fee of about 8to 10k per year but for mbbs your fee may range from 3lacs to 6 lacs per annum however 10-15 lacs per annum is also common for some colleges
I hope you get a good comparison
