Hello Dear,

Mitosis is a part of the cell cycle in which replicated chromosomes are separated into two new nuclei. In which one cell divides into two genetically identical daughter cells. In the various stages of mitosis, the cell's chromosomes are copied and then distributed equally between the two new nuclei of the daughter cells. Cell division gives rise to genetically identical cells in which the total number of chromosomes is maintained.
