there is some problem in your question. With 97 how can you get such a big rank. It's impossible to get such rank with 97 percentile. There must be any misplacing or error.

Recheck your result and rank.

to get an NIT or IIIT your rank must be below 3k.

seats reserved for each branch is less than 1000 and there are only 31 NITs all over India and candidates are in Lakhs to take an admission.

So it is not so easy to get an NIT or any IIIT with the rank you have specified here.
