Hi, it is good or not it depends on the perspective of the individual. Everything is done for the betterment of the human lives.Coming to the point, if you want a job in research industry or teaching industry along with IT sector job or if you want more opportunities to come your way after you complete your studies you can go for btech+mtech integrated course. Just extra 1 year from btech. and you will get dual degree in 5 years instead of 6 . So it is a good option to go for it.

Sure mtech from a good college can ensure both you bachelors and masters together in a shirt period of time.Wouldn't recommend it because what if you change your mind and want to do specialisation in some other field from which you opted.
