Scope of aerospace engineering...? Is it enough for upsc exam....?
Dear aspirant....!!
Aerospace engineering or aeronautical engineering is mostly the same and the scope is beyond imagination both in India and abroad. Aerospace engineering is a broad branch from science dealing with many aspects like technical division, aircraft body design, engine design, safety measure design and many more. As a aeronautical or a aerospace engineer you need to get specialised in one path. For example students who study aerospace engineering usually get specialised from their elective course like technical aspects, engine design or air craft body design. Therefore according to ones specialisation one will also get the job. For example, if you specialise in engine design you will get jobs in General electric (GE), Rolls Royce etc and if you specialise in air craft body design then you will get jobs in Boeing, Air bus company etc. Similarly if you choose to work only at technical division the companies that build the aircraft itself like the Boeing and Air bus will employ you. In India these companies also have their technical plants and therefore people with technical skills are in great demand. Apart from this you can also look for jobs in airport ground level. A flight technician at airport ground level will know to handle the technical difficulties like the pressure or connectivity problems with the flight. You will be present at the airport and will be in charge of conducting inspection on every flight you are assigned to and if it has any technical difficulties you will attempt to solve it.
All the best!
