Definitely Jadavpur University is a good college for civil engineering. Of-course civil engineering will have lots of future scope and as per as i know placements scenario of Jadavpur university is better than many nits. Definitely you will have better placement offer. Many core companies like Maruti suzuki, Tubro, Larsen and etc..., visit their for civil, mechanical and production Engineering students. You will definitely have a bright future.

Jadavpur University, Civil Engineering department is one of the best departments if you aspire to become a civil engineer.
The workshop classes provide you with all the necessary equipments needed to understand the courses in well maintained way. The University provides each undergraduates with enough liabilities to cover it's course structure in a technical way.
Apart from curriculum, the civil department holds a good range of placements as well in both core and non-core companies. There are a wide range of companies offer for the undergraduates. The AVG placement till date is 4.02 lacs for the civil department.
