chemical engs have a very gud opportunities to work in 5 maharatna companies like iocl, ongc, coal india, GAIL, SAIL OUT OF 7 (REST 2 R NTPC and BHEL).
If you will see the number of chemical graduated people per year and requirement of chemical engineers in different companies then this ratio will be far far better than mech, electrical, electronics and other branches.
apart from this chem people may work in designer companies like EIL, LINDE, L&T.
Chemies has also v gud chances to work with HUL, BPCL, HPCL, Vizak Steel, NFL,Iffco, Kribhco, asian paint, HPL, petro chemical industries.
chemical engineers can work as a production, process, process safety, instrumentation and research type job.

Chemical Engineering branch has many characteristics of a core branch of Engineering It is more or less an evergreen branch. Chemical Industry is showing no signs of slowing down. Actually, it is expanding and with this expansion, new job opportunities are also being generated.
