Yes boards marks are important for admission in MBBS courses.

To get admission in MBBS course, In boards you need to get minimum:

50% — UR

40% — SC,ST,OBC

But board marks are not considered in making merit. Only marks obtained in NEET UG exam is considered to calculate merit.

To get government college by all India quota u need to score at least 570+general,560+obc ,460+Sc & St .This is a rough idea it keeps changing every year according to difficulty level of the question paper.
