No, there is no need to apply for KCET if you are seeking admission to MBBS course because KCET is conducted by KEA for admission to Engineering, B. Pharm, and Farm Science courses in Government/ University/ Private Aided/Private un-aided institutions in Karnataka State.
So if you are seeking admission to MBBS course through 85% state quota counselling of Karnataka then you have to register yourself on the portal of KEA for MBBS counselling because state counselling authority of Karnataka is The Karnataka Examinations Authority or KEA. Then on the basis of c=your NEET score you will be allotted seat in any specific institution of Karnataka for MBBS under state quota, provided that you meet the cut-off of that required institution.
For this year till now registration dates have not been released for NEET counselling of Karnataka so we have to wait for it.
