Choosing one institute should be solely your choice. NIT Agartala is one of the oldest and well established NITs in India and it's top most branch over there is Computer science and engineering. In terms of CSE placements, it is great as technical companies like Capgemini, Oracle recruit students. NIT Agartala has been ranked 71 by NIRF  in year 2019. IIIT Gwalior, also known as IIITM Gwalior is also a very good choice. It has been ranked 81 by NIRF in year 2019. Some of the past recruiters are companies like Infosys, HCL, Mu Sigma etc.

Both the institutes are very good in terms of academics and placements.

It totally depends that in which branch you are interested in. If you want to pursue CSE branch then you can go for NIT-A. If branch is not a factor and you want to compare between colleges then also NIT-A has better ranking and higher value in comparison to IIIT. So you can go for NIT-A.
