Hello aspirant, hope you are doing good.

So, according to your question, I'll mention some of the aspects of both the colleges, like students intake, infrastructure, fees, ranking and placements. According to that, you can decide which college is the one you should go for.

NIRF Ranking : According to NIRF ranking 2019, LNMIIT has been ranked 194 in India, whereas PEC has been ranked 68th.

Students Intake : LNMIT takes in approximately 670students every year whereas PEC takes in 1035 students. The infrastructure is amazing in both , and both of them has the basic amenities as well as some other facilities. Faculty is more in PEC than LNMIT.

FEES: The fees is comparatively less in PEC, being a public/government college with 6.19lakhs course fees whereas LNMIT has a fees of 11.2 lakhs , being a private college.

Placements: placements depend not just on the college, but on the stream you are in, and your personal merit alot. The average placement in LNMIT is 8lakhs and for PEC it's 7lakhs.

Hello,

Hope you are good.

Coming to your question, I think the choice has to be made based on what your interests are since both the fields(communication and computer engineering and mechanical engineering) are different. Doing a course that you have a passion for will help you in the long run.

Talking about the placement scenario, both the colleges have an active Placement and Training cell.

The placement statistics of  lnmiit (for batch 2020) is given below:

  • Highest Package: 63.27 LPA
  • Median Package: 10.0 LPA
  • Total Number of offers (Internships + Full Time): 517
  • Percentage of registered students placed: 92%

The placement statistics of  Punjab Engineering college (2017 - 2018 batch ) is given below:

  • Highest Package: 34.00 LPA
  • Median Package (LPA):  6.50
  • No. of Students Placed: 366
  • No. of PPOs Received: 66

Hope this help,

Good Luck
